We're still in the testing stages of HRConnect, now well into Phase 2 of the process. We've brought on the DallasHR Ambassadors group as well as the Young Professionals PEG. The goal is that the Communities module will serve as a communication hub for DallasHR Committees as well as PEG's. I know that leaders of both groups are a little frustrated right now about how few of the folks on their email distribution lists are responding to the group invite emails. If anyone out there can shed light on why they think this is (other than the obvious "messages are getting caught in Spam filters") please do share.
I think next we need to figure out how to get "the conversation started" under Discussion Topics. The challenge will be motivating members to ask their HR related questions here as well as through the avenues they are used to. Almost all PEG's have existing social networking platforms such as LinkedIn that serve as their hub. The advantage to HRConnect is that PEG Leaders will be relieved of the task of checking to see if everyone participating is a current member.
So as I said, we're moving right along. Hoping for a Grand Opening to the DallasHR membership later this year!
