Kim Follis, Vice President with Delta Dallas, will be facilitating a discussion, helping those in transition evaluate their resume. Through her 25 years in the placement industry, along with a Degree in Marketing and Advertising, Kim has the ability to help candidates “Package” their transferrable skills into a format that attracts interest.
Some topics of discussion include:
· How long should a resume be?
· Which resume format or style is better?
· How do you prefer to receive resumes?
· What about a cover letter?
· How many years of related background should be on a resume?
· Should resumes explain gaps in employment or “job hopping?”
· How can a 2 page document highlight a career of experience?
The goal of the conversation will be to enlighten the way you evaluate your resume and ensure that it is highlighting your relevant skills, functional experience, employment history, industry experience and measureable accomplishments.
