HR Metrics and Analytics - Do you understand the difference?

  • HR Metrics (workforce analytics) use tangible data - they measure the past e.g. headcount, turnover. Often used for benchmarking.
  • HR Analytics are predictive and provide data for identifying future problems, and making strategic business decisions. New insights into drivers of performance and value.

"Integrating HR and business processes is worth the time and effort involved. Organizations with HR integrated into the business have nearly 40 percent lower turnover, 38 percent higher employee engagement and more than twice the revenue per employee compared with compliance-driven HR organizations."

What influence does the growing demand for predictive analytics have on roles in HR?  As a recruiter, an HR administrator, a compensation professional, a business partner or HR Leader – how might your role change as it is influenced by social media, integrated systems, Big Data, technology, etc.?  If roles are evolving and are redefined, are you ready?

Eligibility to attend JobLink meetings:

JobLink is free and open to individuals who are currently unemployed or who have been notified that their jobs are ending and who are seeking employment in the field of human resources. (Consultants, either established or starting their own business, are encouraged to join the DallasHR Consultants PEG).

You do not need to be a member of DallasHR to attend. Dress is business casual. Each meeting features a program on a job search topic along with networking opportunities.

First time attendees are encouraged to arrive earlier (around 8:00am) for an orientation and to meet the JobLink co-chair.
